In October 2021 the closing of the partnership between Sandals Resorts and CIBC FirstCaribbean took place.
We are proud to have assisted CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank in their partnership with Sandals Resort in relation to the Sandals Royal Curaҫao. Sandals Resorts International is world-renowned for its luxurious all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean.
CIBC FirstCaribbean is acting as the arranger and lender for the financing that Sandals requires for the project that will initially include over 350 luxury rooms and suites on the property stretched along the Spanish Waters. We have acted as advisor for CIBC FirstCaribbean in this financing together with MILLER•SIMONS•O’SULLIVAN (Turks & Caicos Islands, BWI). The team of VANEPS involved in the refinancing, mainly consisted of Ruthnialys Mogen and Focco Lunsingh Scheurleer.
We congratulate CIBC FirstCaribbean and Sandals Resorts on this transaction and are looking forward to visiting the resort from April 2022.
