Lorena Navia Rodriguez
Senior associate
Lorena Navia Rodriguez joined VANEPS in January 2016 on Bonaire. In October 2023 she was promoted to senior associate. She has a broad litigation and advisory practice with a strong emphasize on real estate. In her practice she advises both local and international companies, contractors and government organizations.
Lorena is specialized in real estate law in the Dutch Caribbean as a whole and has extensive experience with construction law, rental law and property law. With her specialized knowledge and extensive experience, Lorena is a trusted advisor and advocate for clients seeking expert guidance in all real estate law matters. Lorena is also the dean of the Bonaire Bar Association.
Lorena was born in Colombia and grew up in the Netherlands. In 2013, she obtained her master’s degree in Law and Business at the University of Utrecht. She also obtained a master’s degree in Political Science with an emphasis on international relations at the University of Amsterdam.
During and after her studies, Lorena gained experience through internships at several commercial law firms and at the legal department of Ahold. Furthermore, Lorena worked as a volunteer legal employee for the Red Cross. After her studies and before she joined VANEPS, she worked in the field of asylum and immigration law.
