Roeland de Mol

Partner

Roeland de Mol is an attorney-at-law and partner of our firm. He is an established expert in corporate and commercial dispute resolution.

Roeland is litigation attorney admitted to practice in the Netherlands.His practice covers complex litigation and advice on matters such as professional liability (including directors, lawyers and civil notaries), disputes between shareholders, M&A disputes and termination of negotiations.

Roeland has extensive experience in both first instance and appeal litigation. He regularly represents national and international clients before the Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal. He also has exceptional expertise in healthcare litigation, telecommunications and IT.

Roeland joined VANEPS starting 2025. Before joining VANEPS, he was equity partner at BarentsKrans.

Work highlights include:

  • Advising and representing an international offshore manufacturer in arbitration under SIAC rules.
  • Assisting the founder of a major restaurant chain in a post M&A dispute with a large private equity firm.
  • Advising and representing a former automotive CEO in various proceedings.
  • Assisting a Dutch NGO in internal and international investigations regarding allegations of fraud and corruption in South-Central Asia and the relationship with its major funder.
  • Counsel for a state in relation to a cross-border dispute regarding gas pipelines.

Related activities

  • Roeland is co-author of Sdu commentaar Burgerlijk procesrecht (written commentary on the Dutch Code of Civil Procedure) and / inter alia vice president of the Disputes Committee Healthcare (Stichting Zorggeschil).
  • Roeland is a member the Corporate Litigation Association (Vereniging Corporate Litigation)
  • From 2018 until 2022 Roeland was member of the board of the Bar Association of The Hague (Raad van de Orde).

The Netherlands Bar Registry

Roeland has registered the following principal legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister): Civil Procedural Law.

Based on this registration, he is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
