On March 23 Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V. became the first international bond ever listed on the Dutch Caribbean Securities Exchange (DCSX). Staatsolie issued bonds in Curacao and Suriname for an amount of USD 150 million.
To refinance bonds issued in 2015 and to finance new transactions in Suriname, Staatsolie decided to issue new bonds for an amount of USD 150 million in Curacao and Suriname. Eventually, the bonds were oversubscribed and Staatsolie issued bonds for USD 195 million.
VANEPS has advised and assisted Staatsolie as Curacao legal adviser and provided for all legal documentation relating to the bonds and assisted in the regulatory procedures towards the Central Banks. In addition, our firm is engaged as listing adviser towards DCSX and the investors and, amongst others, advised and assisted with the listing of the Bonds.
